SCI-MX — New Production Facilities

SCI-MX has moved. And this isn't just a shuffle round the corner.

The brand has relocated into a world-class production and distribution network in Trafford Park, Manchester.

Who Owns SCI-MX?

Supreme PLC owns SCI-MX. They acquired the brand in 2021.

Since then, they've been building something serious in the North. The new setup boosts SCI-MX's wellness production capacity by around 40%. That's not marketing spin, it's a genuine steel-and-concrete upgrade in the heart of Trafford Park, Salford.

Meet The Ark: SCI-MX's New Home

The Ark is SCI-MX's new operational base. It houses:

  • Head office
  • Warehousing
  • Distribution

  • Orders get processed faster
  • Stock gets managed better
  • The brand has the infrastructure to back its northern expansion

What This Means For You

Previously, parts of SCI-MX's production relied on third-party co-packers. Granted, this is very common in the sports nutrition industry, whereby many of the big brands do it.
Nevertheless, it does come with a trade-off, specifically resulting in much less control over raw materials, mixing, and ultimately how your product actually gets made.
Fortunately, that changes now

SCI-MX manufactures in-house at VN Labs. That means they own the whole process:

  • Ingredients coming in the door
  • Mixing and production
  • Finished product going out

The result?

  • Tighter quality control
  • Stricter food safety standards
  • Better batch tracking
  • Faster QC handoffs
  • Less room for error


A custom-built facility does a job that older, retrofitted units simply can't match. More care, rigour, and accountability. That's the real upgrade.

What About Availability?

The move has caused temporary gaps in stock on some products. You may have noticed a few items unavailable on the What'Supps store. We're sorry for that.

Here's the reality: consolidating an entire supply chain doesn't happen without a few bumps.

However the good news is that stock is building back up, and the new facility is getting up to speed and full availability is coming soon. Short-term inconvenience for a long-term upgrade. We think it's a trade worth making.
